Mirroring- this is where a bogus website, is created looking similar to a website, for example HSBC, could have a counterfeit site created by hackers in order to steal customer details, it is called mirroring because these websites are often very identical to the real website, but are fake they pose a risk phishing which is basically stealing obtaining confidential data, which is then used for criminal activity, mirroring sites usually trace back to a third world country so the culprits are never, caught HSBC could using mirroring to expand their banking business to all parts of the world, because they could mirror their sights to other continents to get customers there, the benefit of this would be HSBC increasing its customer base and making more money, it will also enable easy sign up for customers.
